Tuesday, July 23
*9:00 PM – Haz-Mat call in the 800 block of W. Austin Ave. Dispatched to investigate strong smell of gas. When Firefighters arrived on scene, occupant advised the smell was gone.
Wednesday, July 24
* 10:00 AM – Fire Call in the 700 block of Main Street. Incident was determined to be an outside rubbish fire. Arrived on scene to find occupant burning weeds. Firefighters advised occupant of the city no burning ordinance.
Thursday, July 25
*9:27 PM – Motor vehicle accident on Highway 183N involving a vehicle vs. horse.
*9:31 PM – Haz-Mat call in the 3300 block of 1st Street. Dispatched for a call of a carbon monoxide detector activation. Upon entering the house, CO was detected. Residents were advised to sleep elsewhere for the night and contact the landlord for repairs.
Friday, July 26
*12:29 PM – Fire Call at 4th St/ Ave J. Arrived on scene to find resident burning in BBQ pit.
*3:44 PM – Motor vehicle accident at Austin Ave/Main Street involving 3 vehicles. All parties denied transport.
Saturday, July 27
*8:07 PM – Fire Call in the 400 block of Fisk Ave. Incident was determined to be an alarm activation due to malfunction. Alarm panel was reset.
Sunday, July 28
*6:05 AM – Fire Call in the 400 block of Fisk Ave. Responded for 2nd time for an alarm activation due to malfunction.
*11:13 AM – Haz-Mat call at the 1000 block of 2nd St. Dispatched to investigate possible gas leak inside residence. Detector was used with all readings in normal range.
