BFDlogoSmallReports released for the week of July 3rd through July 9th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 26 medical emergencies, 1 motor vehicle accidents, 5 fire calls, and public assistance call.

Sunday, July 3

*5:37pm – BFD responded to a fire call in the 2200 block of Avenue D regarding a structure fire. The occupant had the fire extinguished upon arrival.  Fire crews vented the house and used thermal camera to determine if there were any hot spots.

Monday, July 4

*1:54pm – BFD was dispatched a report of smoke in the area. After investigating, nothing was found.

*3:42pm – BFD responded to a brush fire in the area of Hwy183N & CR 404.  Fire fighters arrived on the scene of a small grass fire.  BFD assisted area volunteer fire departments to extinguish the fire.

*9:17pm – BFD was called to a grass fire at 1512 Vine.  When fire fighters arrived on scene they found a fire that had been started by fireworks. The fire was controlled and extinguished.

Tuesday, July 5

*6:32am – BFD was dispatched to a cooking fire at 300 Center Avenue. Fire fighters arrived on scene to find smoke in the apartment. Firefighters found a pan on the stove with burned food.  A vent fan was used to clear smoke from the room.

*2:53pm – BFD responded to a vehicle fire in the 500 block of W. Commerce.

Wednesday, July 6

*7:14pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 100 block of CC Woodson Road.  Fire fighters provided first aid and checked for injuries.

Thursday, July 7

*5:14am – BFD was called to a fire in the 1500 block of Vine Street. Fire fighters arrived on scene to find several small patches of fire in the pasture.  The fire was extinguished.

Friday, July 8

*7:42pm – Provided manpower for public assistance.
