Monday, June 30
*12:04 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 9500 block of Hwy 377S. Firefighters responded to a road transport vehicle which was on fire. Crews arrived and assessed scene, by pushing hay off of the trailer and containing the fire to the bar ditch.
Tuesday, July 1
*7:20 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1800 block of 1st Street. Units arrived on scene to find a storage building that was fully involved and along with an exposure (neighboring home’s garage) on fire. Early Volunteer Fire Department was called for assistance. The fire was extinguished and overhaul was performed on both structures. The Brownwood fire marshal was on scene to investigate.
Friday, July 4
*8:31 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call on Temple Street. Firefighters responded to a grass fire, arriving on scene to find a hay field burning. Firefighters pulled the red line and started extinguishing the fire. Fireworks were determined to be cause of the fire.
Saturday, July 5
*3:40 AM – BFD responded to a fire call in the 1000 block of Santa Clara, regarding a vehicle fire.
Sunday, July 6
*5:15 AM – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident in the 500 block of Commerce involving single vehicle with no injuries.
*5:44 PM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 2200 block of Vine Street where a power line was down.
