Reports released for the week of May 29nd through June 4th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 17 medical emergencies, 1 motor vehicle accidents, 4 fire calls, and 2 hazardous materials calls.

Monday, May 30
* 4:04pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 4300 block of Brookdale Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing. After investigation, it was found to be an electrical short in utility room.
Tuesday, May 31
*9:36pm – BFD responded to a hazardous material incident which was later determined to be an oil spill.
Wednesday, June 1
*1:34am – BFD was dispatched t o a fire call in the 1300 block of 3rd Street.
*4:53am – BFD responded to a hazardous material call in the 1000 block of Belle Plain. Fire crews arrived on scene to investigate smell of carbon monoxide.
Thursday, June 2
*2:12pm – BFD was called to a fire in the 2900 block of Morris Sheppard. Fire fighters arrived on scene to find half acre grass fire which they extinguished.
Friday, June 3
*2:28pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Avenue K involving a single vehicle which struck a utility pole. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
Saturday, June 4
*3:50pm – Grass Fire in the 900 block of Neumann Street. Fire fighters arrived to find a small grass fire which was extinguished.
