Reports released for the week of June 19th through June 25th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 20 medical emergencies, 3 motor vehicle accidents, 7 fire calls, 3 false alarms, and 1 gas leak.

Sunday, June 19
*12:57pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 300 block of E. Commerce. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
Monday, June 20
*1:49am – BFD was called to the 1800 block of Dallas Street. Incident was determined to be arcing power lines.
*5:23pm – BFD responded to a fire call at 106 Whaley Street. The smoke alarm was sounding in the HPU Davidson Music Complex. After investigation, it was determined to be an air conditioning blower unit that had gone out.
*8:25pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 6800 block of County Road 499. Fire crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from house. Lake Bridge VFD was also on scene. The fire was extinguished and Lake Bridge VFD performed salvage and overhaul.
*8:47pm – BFD responded to a fire call in the 2900 block of N. Hwy 183. Fire crews arrived on scene to find nothing showing. Early VFD was on scene. The thermal camera detected heat in attic area where a conductor was found melted.
Tuesday, June 21
*8:00am – BFD was dispatched to a gas leak.
*1:20pm – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of 3rd and Wood Streets. A single cab pickup had stuck a cluster of trees, knocking one into the roadway. Fire crews checked for injuries and provided first aid. Patients were loaded into Guardian EMS ambulances and transported to BRMC.
*6:59pm – BFD was called to a single vehicle accident in the area of N. Hwy 279 and CR 152. There were no injuries.
*7:10pm – BFD was called to a fire in the 400 block of 5th Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a wooden garage fully involved. Water lines were pulled and the fire was extinguished. Extensive overhaul was needed.
*9:19pm – BFD was dispatched to the Communications Center at the Law Enforcement Center for arcing in attic. Thermal camera did not detect anything abnormal.
Wednesday, June 22
*3:57am – BFD responded to an alarm activation.
Thursday, June 23
*12:42pm – BFD was called to a fire in the 300 block of Windjammer Dr. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke showing from a house. North Lake & Lake Bridge VFDs were on scene. Firefighting was limited due to intense heat and steam. The fire was extinguished and mop up started.
Friday, June 24
*10:47am – BFD was dispatched to a fire call at Brownwood Middle School. The general fire alarm had been activated. After investigating, the alarm was found to have been accidently tripped.
Saturday, June 25
*10:52am – BFD was responded to what was determined to be an alarm malfunction.
