Sunday, June 10
*10:31am – BFD responded to a fire call on FM 2126. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small fire in the bar ditch. Fire crews extinguished the fire.
*9:28pm – BFD was called to the 3900 block of Oakdale regarding an animal rescue. According to the report a dog was trapped under a storage building. Fire crews lifted building and removed the dog.
Monday, June 11
*11:23am – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of W. Commerce involving 2 vehicles. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
*1:57pm – BFD was dispatched to a bomb threat at 204 E. Commerce. Fire crews arrived on scene and secured roadways and the area around the structure. After searching the building, nothing explosive was found.
Tuesday, June 12
*7:19am – BFD was called to a power line down in the 1300 block of Magnolia. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a large tree had fallen on power line and gas line. Atmos and Oncor were notified.
*8:14am – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 7800 block of CR 225. Fire crews responded to an alarm activation. The incident was determined to be caused by dust activating the alarm and no fire was found.
*9:09am – BFD was dispatched to a power line down in the 1600 block of Hawkins Street. Fire crews established a safe area. A large tree limb had fallen on line. Oncor arrived on the scene.
*12:24pm – BFD was called to a fire in the 2800 block of Southside Drive. After investigating, the incident was determined to be a false alarm.
*2:20pm – BFD responded to a fire call in the 2400 block of Austin Avenue. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a landscaping light had shorted out and burned up the wire.
*2:50pm – BFD was dispatched to a power line which was down in the 2000 block of Brady Avenue. Fire crews established a safe area until Oncor arrived on scene.
*5:06pm – BFD was called to the report of a power line down 2311 Dartmore Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a tree limb had fallen on some wires; however, there was no damage to or danger with line.
*9:24pm – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 400 block of W. Commerce involving 2 vehicles. Fire crews checked for injuries and provided first aid.
*9:43pm – BFD was called to the report of a power line down in the 1900 block of Vine Street. After arriving on scene, nothing was found by fire crews.
Wednesday, June 13
*6:38pm – BFD was dispatched regarding arcing equipment in the 2700 block of Vine Street. Fire crews determined that limbs were causing the lines to arc and Oncor was notified.
*9:37pm – BFD was called to the 300 block of Washington to investigate a flashing light which was determined to be light from a cell phone tower.
Thursday, June 14
*10:36am – BFD responded to a Child locked in car in the 1300 block of Belle Plain. Fire Crews unlocked the vehicle and removed the child.
Friday, June 15
*1:22am – BFD was called to a fire in the 2600 block of Morris Sheppard. A smoke detector was determined to have activated due to malfunction.
*10:37am – BFD responded to the report of a gas leak in the 1500 block of Market Place Blvd. A case worker called in reporting the smell of gas in an apartment. Fire Crews checked residence with a gas detector and a pilot light was found to be out.
