Monday, June 10

*12:05 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of E. Commerce.  Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Tuesday, June 11

*12:43 PM – BFD was dispatched to the 3200 block of Milam Drive regarding the smell of smoke.  Fire crews found nothing showing upon arrival. The thermal camera was used to find a cause for the smoke smell. All floors were thoroughly searched but nothing was found.

*5:17 PM – BFD was called to an outside fire in the 700 block of Oak Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire in the front yard of a residence.  The occupant was advised that he could not burn in city limits and the fire was extinguished.

*11:22 PM – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 2400 block of Songbird Circle regarding the smell of natural gas.  Firefighters discovered that a pilot light was out.  The pilot light was relit before clearing the scene.

Wednesday, June 12

*7:52 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Beaver Street.  Fire crews performed assessment and checked for injuries.

*8:21 AM – BFD was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident in the 200 block of E. Commerce. Firefighters performed basic care and assisted in loading the patient into Guardian EMS ambulance for transport.

*5:35 PM – BFD was called to the intersection of 3rd and Magnolia regarding a motor vehicle accident involving a single motorcycle.  There were no reported injuries.

Friday, June 14

*10:31 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1600 block of Brooks Avenue.  The incident was determined to be a cooking fire, confined to a container.

*3:03 PM – BFD was dispatched to a public service call at Brownwood Regional Airport.  Firefighters assisted with unloading a patient from an aircraft.

*3:42 PM – BFD was called to a hazardous materials call in the 1100 block of Oakland regarding the smell of gas inside of a home. The detector was used to investigate the home; however, nothing was found.

*5:20 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Avenue J involving 2 vehicles.  Firefighters checked for injuries.
