Reports released for the week of June 5th through June 12th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 24 medical emergencies, 4 motor vehicle accidents, 6 fire calls, 2 agency assists, 4 false alarms and 1 hazardous materials call.

Sunday, June 5
*2:35pm – BFD responded to a vehicle Fire in the 6700 block of FM 2125. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a truck on fire which had also ignited a small brush fire. Both fires were extinguished.
Monday, June 6
*4:31pm – BFD was dispatched to a vehicle fire near Bangs Hill. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a vehicle fully involved. The fire was extinguished.
*9:37pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Coggin involving a vehicle & motorcycle. Those involved were checked for injuries & provided first aid.
*11:46pm – BFD was called to an alarm activation which proved to be a false alarm.
Tuesday, June 7
*11:39am – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous material agency assist.
Wednesday, June 8
*1:25pm – BFD was called to a motor vehicle accident in the 200 block of Melwood involving 2 vehicles and patients with minor injuries.
*2:11pm – BFD was dispatched on a fire call in the 500 block of Victoria where they found unauthorized burning.
*6:18pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 2000 block of S US 377. There were no injuries.
Thursday, June 9
*10:50pm – BFD was called to investigate the smell of gas in the 1800 block of 7th Street where nothing was found.
Friday, June 10
*4:10am – BFD assisted Brownwood Police Department.
*5:02pm – BFD was called to a fire at 700 Carnegie Street, the Brownwood Bulletin. Fire fighters arrived on scene to find a printing press smoking and releasing fumes. The building was evacuated and ventilated.
Saturday, June 11
*3:01am – BFD was called to a fire in the 100 block of Lucas Drive. Fire fighters arrived on scene with Early VFD. Fire was coming from rear of house when units arrived. The fire was extinguished and overhaul was completed. The Fire Marshal was on scene to investigate.
*11:15am – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the 1600 block of Austin Avenue.
