Monday, April 29

*3:04 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with entrapment in the 500 block of E. Hall Street in Bangs. Firefighters used rescue tools to extricate the patient from the vehicle.

Tuesday, April 30

*2:48 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Main and Adams Streets. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

4:13 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of Main.  Firefighters were responding to a structure fire.   When they arrived on scene, nothing was showing.  Upon entry, the fire was out with light smoke coming from apartment. The incident was determined to be a grease/cooking fire.  The apartment was ventilated and the occupant was instructed on how to extinguish a grease fire.

*4:34 PM – BFD was called to the 2400 block of Coggin Avenue where a small child was locked inside a vehicle.  Firefighters unlocked the car and returned the child to its parent unharmed.

Wednesday, May 1

*6:32 PM – BFD was dispatched to a two vehicle accident in the 600 block of CC Woodson Road. Fire crews checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Friday, May 3

*9:54 PM – BFD was called to a fire at 401 W. Commerce regarding an open fire.  Fire crews arrived to find a small rubbish fire which was extinguished by firefighters.

Saturday, May 4

*6:01 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 100 block of Ivanhoe.  Firefighters were dispatched to leaves burning in a back yard and upon arrival found leaves being burned in a BBQ pit. The owner was advised of the city ordinance of no burning within city limits.

*11:43 PM – BFD was called to the 4200 block of Hwy 377.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a child locked in a vehicle.  The vehicle was unlocked and the child returned to its mother unharmed.
