Monday, April 28
*9:50 PM – Fire Call 2400 block of Asbury. Dispatched for smell of smoke in the area, upon arrival a small fire in a pit with owner cooking
Thursday, May 1
*11:36 PM – Fire Call 2500 block of Elizabeth. Dispatched for smoke in the area, upon arrival smoke was found to be coming from a bar-b-que pit, no fire.
Friday, May 2
*8:23 PM – Fire Call 507 W Commerce (Pizza Hut). Alarm activation for fire in oven. Arrived on scene to find everyone evacuated from building. Firefighters entered building to find fire in oven was out, fire crews informed manager to clean the oven.
Saturday, May 3
*10:34 AM – Fire Call 500 block of E Baker. Dispatched to investigate suspicious brown bag burning in the road. Nothing was ever found in the area.
*2:19 PM – Fire Call FM 45/County Road 236. Arrived on scene to find a small grass/brush fire in the ditch. Firefighters quickly controlled fire and turned over to Brookesmith VFD.
*3:54 PM – Fire Call 12350 CR 237. The Brownwood Fire Department responded to a grass fire. Firefighters encountered 3 separate spot fires. Mutual aid requested from Coleman County, San Saba County, and McCulloch County. Fire was approximately 25 acres.
Sunday, May 4
*6:17 AM – Motor vehicle accident on Stephen F Austin. Vehicle vs Telephone pole occupant loaded for transport.
*4:22 PM – Motor vehicle accident on 4th / Parkway Dr. involving 2 vehicles with no injuries.
*7:18 PM – Motor vehicle accident in the 500 block of Hackberry with single vehicle with no injuries.
