Sunday, April 21
*8:03 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident on FM 2126 and US Hwy 183. Firefighters packaged patients for transport with Guardian EMS.
*3:39 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1100 block of Fisk Avenue where a smoke detector had activated. The incident was determined to have been caused by Ramen noodles burned in a microwave. No fire was found.
Monday, April 22
*4:37 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2500 block of Brady. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a dumpster on fire in the alley. The fire was extinguished.
Tuesday, April 23
*8:29 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of W. Commerce. An alarm was found to have activated because of saw dust.
Wednesday, April 24
*7:29 PM – BFD was dispatched to an agency assist in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive where they assisted Brownwood Police Department with disorderly conduct.
*9:48 PM – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 1600 block of Austin Avenue to investigate a smell of gas. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the smell to be fertilizer on hay fields east of Vine Street. All was clear.
Thursday, April 25
*9:30 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1200 block of Avenue D. Fire crews responded to a mattress on fire in alley. The fire was extinguished and the Brownwood fire marshal was contacted to investigate.
Friday, April 26
*8:11 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2000 block of Vine Street. Fire crews arrived to find a tree stump smoking. The fire was extinguished with a water can and covered with dirt.
