Reports released for the week of April 17th through April 23rd from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 15 medical emergencies, 2 motor vehicle accidents, 4 fire calls, 2 false alarms, 1 welfare check and 1 electrical line hazard call.

Sunday, April 17
*11:25am – BFD responded to an electrical call. Fire fighters arrived on scene to find a breaker on a utility pole blown. Oncor was notified.
Monday, April18
*8:27pm – BFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident which involved a pedestrian on a bicycle near Coggin & Austin. The patient riding the bicycle was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Tuesday, April 19
*10:00pm – BFD was called to a possible fire in the 2500 block of Avenue D. Smoke was coming from an air conditioning unit.
Wednesday, April 20
*12:42pm – BFD was called to a fire in the 1700 block of 2nd Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find two 55 gallon barrels full of lumber on fire. Firefighters extinguished fire. Then fire crews and the police department explained to occupants about burn ban.
*3:47pm – BFD responded to a fire call in the 1900 block of Avenue D. Upon arrival there was no fire but a meter box was found to have some scorching. The area was checked with thermal imaging camera and no hot spots were found.
Thursday, April 21
*12:18pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire alarm which activated in the 1500 block of Dublin. Firefighters arrived on scene to find an alarm clock sounding not a fire alarm.
Saturday, April 23
* 5:50pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Main Street. BFD provided first aid. There were no injuries.
