Sunday, March 31

*6:53 PM – BFD was called to a fire on Horseshoe Trail. Firefighters responded to a small grass fire which was extinguished.

*7:00 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Pine and Waco Streets involving a single vehicle verses a dumpster. The driver was transported by Guardian EMS to Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC) emergency room.

Monday, April 1

*7:05 AM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 1300 block of Avenue D.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle accident.  Hazardous material was determined to be gas from vehicle and absorbent was used on the spill.

*6:50 PM – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 2800 block of Southside Drive. One occupant was loaded with Guardian and transported to BRMC emergency room.

Tuesday, April 2

*4:37 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the area of Avenue J and Vine Street regarding someone burning in the back yard of a residence. The fire was determined to be outside the city limits.

*7:22 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1100 block of Schroeder Lane. Firefighters arrived on scene to find that dust coming from air ducts was setting off alarms.

*9:58 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1000 block of La Monte.  Fire crews were dispatched to the report of a fire in a residence.  Nothing was showing upon firefighters’ arrival. The attic and house were checked with the thermal camera and nothing was found. Upon further investigation, a possible power surge overload was detected and breakers to the house were shut off.

*11:22 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1800 block of Houston Street.  Firefighters arrived to find the top of a utility pole was on fire. The fire was extinguished and Oncor was notified.

Wednesday, April 3

*12:56 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1700 block of Stewart.  Firefighters were dispatched to arcing, shorted electrical equipment. Firefighters investigated and determined there was no immediate threat.

Thursday, April 4

*10:36 AM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Main Street, on the Truman Harlow overpass, where a single vehicle on a trailer had overturned.

*9:22 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1000 block of W. Commerce.  Fire crews responded to the report of a fire outside of a local hotel.  Police officers arrived on scene and determined it was a small sack burning outside of the hotel.

Friday, April 5

*9:52 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident on N. Hwy 279. Firefighters extricated the driver from the vehicle and assisted with loading the patient for transport by Guardian EMS.

Saturday, April 6

*10:19 AM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Market Place Blvd involving a vehicle verses a motorcycle. No treatment of injuries was needed.
