Reports released for the week of March 20th through March 26th from BFDlogoSmallthe Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 22 medical emergencies, 5 motor vehicle accidents, 1 fire call, 1 hazardous materials call and 1 false alarm.

Sunday, March 21

*6:14pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the 700 block of CC Woodson.

Monday, March 22

*9:30am – BFD was called to a one vehicle accident with minor injuries on Austin Avenue.

*2:41pm – BFD was dispatched to a 2 vehicle accident with no injuries at Cordell & Austin.

Thursday, March 24

*4:32 – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on CR 237.  There was only one vehicle involved.  Patient was loaded into Guardian EMS ambulance.

Friday, March 25

* 4:09pm – BFD was called to a two vehicle accident at the Vine Street underpass where firefighters provided first aid.

Saturday, March 26

*6:41pm – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call at the area of Austin Avenue and Main Street.  The incident was determined to be an oil spill.  Firefighter used absorbent material on the spill and removed the hazard.

*10:03pm – BFD was dispatched on a fire call at 605 Depot Street. The incident was determined to be an alarm system malfunction.  Fire alarm was restored.
