Monday, March 17
*4:56 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 100 block of W. Spencer. Firefighters arrived on scene with Bangs Volunteer Fire Department to find a one-story house fire under control. The house was ventilated.
Wednesday, March 19
*1:25 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call on 1st Street. Fire crews responded to a porch fire and upon arrival, found the fire had been extinguished. Minimal damage to a table that was on the front porch was noted.
*2:01 PM – BFD responded to a fire call in the 200 block of County Road 616. Firefighters responded to a kitchen fire in a nursing home. Fire crews arrived on scene to assist Early VFD in ventilating the facility.
*3:02 PM – BFD was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries on 10th Street.*8:43 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1700 block of Austin Avenue. The incident was determined to be an outside trash/waste fire.
Thursday, March 20
*12:02 PM – BFD was responded to a public assistance call in the 300 block of Center Avenue where firefighters rescued a person that was stuck in an elevator.
*4:53 PM – BFD was dispatched to a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the 300 block of Carnegie.
*8:44 PM – BFD responded to a fire call in the 1500 block of Main Blvd.
Friday, March 21
*12:48 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 600 block of Coggin Avenue. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a chicken coop fully involved. Firefighters extinguished the fire and began overhaul.
*5:22 PM – BFD responded to a fire call on 4th Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a large branch had fallen on the main electrical line. Oncor was notified.
Saturday, March 22
*11:40 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 600 block of Center Avenue. All occupants refused transport.
*12:32 PM – BFD was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover accident with no injuries on FM 45.
Sunday, March 23
*12:31 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2400 block of Avenue B. Firefighters responded to the smell of smoke in a residence. Fire crews investigated with a thermal camera but nothing was found.
