Sunday, March 13

*12:39am – BFD was called to a brush fire on N Hwy 183 in Early.

*11:13pm – BFD responded to a fire call in the 3600 block of Arrowhead.  Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the house.  Upon arrival, nothing was showing.  After investigation by firefighters, a ceiling fan motor was found to be overheating.

Monday, March 14

*8:21pm – BFD was dispatched to a false alarm 601 E Depot.  Reset alarm.

Tuesday, March 15

*4:03pm – BFD was call to an accident involving two vehicles in the area of Austin & Main. Firefighters helped load patient into the ambulance.

*6:14pm – BFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 300 block of N Main Street. Firefighters provided first aid and loaded patient into the ambulance.

*6:21pm – BFD responded to a fire call in the 1600 block of 2nd Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire burning in a barrel.  The fire was extinguished.

*8:05pm – BFD was dispatched to an accident involving two vehicles in the area of Avenue K & 10th Street. Firefighters loaded a patient into the ambulance.

Wednesday, March 16

*11:52am – BFD was called to a fire on N Hwy 279 where firefighters responded to a call of an explosion/structure fire.  Upon arrival a single story structure was found to be fully involved. Volunteer units were on scene.  BFD made entry and knocked down fire.  Inside structure was deemed unsafe and extinguishment was made from the outside of the structure.  Click here for more details.

*2:28pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the area of 8th Street & Avenue D.  Firefighters responded to a call of a structure fire.  Upon arrival there was no smoke showing.  After investigation, the smoke was found to be coming from a BBQ grill.

Friday, March 18

*10:50am – BFD was dispatched to investigate cause of smoke in the 2500 block of Elizabeth after receiving a call reporting a smell of smoke in the area.  After an investigation, nothing was found.

Saturday, March 19

*10:39am – BFD was called to an accident with injuries involving 2 vehicles in the area of 15th Street & Avenue B.  Firefighters assisted EMS with loading of patient into ambulance.
