Sunday, March 9
*8:37 PM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous material call in the 1700 block of Tulane Drive. The call was determined to be a carbon monoxide incident.
Monday, March 10
*9:18 AM – BFD responded to a fire call in the area of 2nd Street and Coggin Avenue. Firefighters responded to the report of smoke in the area, which was later determined to be dust from a street sweeper.
Tuesday, March 11
*10:32 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the area of 2nd Street and Avenue E regarding power lines sparking. Upon arrival nothing was found.
*11:58 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1400 block of Avenue E regarding arcing power lines in high winds. Oncor arrived on scene.
*12:25 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1000 block of San Benito. Firefighters responded to the call of a fallen tree. The tree had fallen on to the house but there was no danger due to power lines.
Friday, March 14
*5:40 PM – BFD was dispatched for a public assist in the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a lift assist.
*11:28 PM – BFD responded to the call for a public assist in the 2500 block of Main Blvd regarding a lift assist.
Saturday, March 15
*7:55 PM – BFD was dispatched to a public assist in the 1900 block of 4th St. for a lift assist.
*10:55 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1200 block of Irma Street. Firefighters responded to the call of a smell of smoke in the residence. A blanket was found to have been sucked into an attic fan causing the motor to overheat, according to fire department officials. The firefighters removed the fan motor to resolve the problem.
