Monday, January 28

*3:57 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 500 block of E. Lee.  Firefighters determined the incident to be a fluorescent light that burned out and tripped the breaker.

Wednesday, January 30

*7:12 PM – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 1700 block of 10th Street.  Fire crews were dispatched to investigate the smell of natural gas.

Thursday, January 31

*1:08 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 7600 block of County Road 200.  Fire crews arrived on scene with Winchell Volunteer Fire Department for a small grass fire which was extinguished.

*4:04 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 3800 block of Crestridge.  Firefighters were dispatched for a structure fire in the kitchen.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find the fire was out but slight smoke was present.  Occupants were treated for minor injuries and the structure was ventilated with a fan.   The attic was searched and a small fire was found and extinguished.  The fire marshal was notified.

*5:53 PM – BFD was dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace regarding a fire in the backyard of a residence.  The fire was determined to be a resident cooking in his barbeque pit.

Friday, February 1

*8:56 PM – BFD responded to a fire call in the 700 block of Sharp Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find residents burning scrap lumber in a barrel.  Firefighters advised the subjects of city burn codes and extinguished the fire.

Saturday, February 2

*9:49 AM – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 100 block of Bluffview Drive where a gas meter was struck by a vehicle.   Atmos was notified.
