Monday, February 17
*8:57 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 700 block of W. Austin Avenue. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a pile of coal smoldering on the ground in an empty lot. Firefighters ensured that the coals were extinguished.
Friday, February 21
*6:19 AM – BFD responded to a possible attic fire at a residence in the 3500 block of FM 2125. Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing. Fire crews entered the house and could smell smoke. An electrical wire had burned in half and had been smoldering, according to BFD officials. All of the burned area was removed.Saturday, February 22
*12:27 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1700 block of CR 382 arrived on scene to find a single story residence with heave fire showing. Firefighters made a quick attack thru front door and pushed the fire out. Early Volunteer Fire Department arrived and supplied water. The Brownwood Fire Marshal arrived to investigate.
*7:27 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a skillet of grease that was on fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke in the house but no fire. The skillet was removed and a vent fan was used to remove smoke from the residence.
