BFDlogoSmallReports released for the week of February 6th through February 12th from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 27 medical emergencies, 6 motor vehicle accidents, 10 fire calls, 2 false alarms, 1 lock-in call and 3 hazardous material calls.

February 6

*2:01pm- BFD responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the 2200 block of Coggin Avenue.

*5:46pm- BFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of CC Woodson involving 1 vehicle with multiple injuries.  Two patients were transported by Guardian to BRMC.

February 8

*12:33pm- BFD was called to a fire in the 1800 block of Springlake.  The incident was determined to be a 2 acre grass fire with one structure having been threatened.  Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished fire.

*3:29pm-BFD was called to a fire in the 2800 block of Coggin Avenue.  Incident was determined to be a small grass fire in the back yard.  Firefighters extinguished fire.

February 9

*7:10am-BFD was called to a child locked in a vehicle in the 1700 block of 7th St.  Firefighters arrived and unlocked the car.

*6:49pm-BFD was called to a vehicle fire at 600 E Adams Street.  Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire in the cab of a pick-up truck.  Firefighter quickly extinguished the fire.

February 10

*3:10pm-BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident on CR 225 involving a single vehicle.  Guardian transported one to BRMC.

*6:18pm-BFD was called to a fire in the 3600 block of 4th St. Incident was determined to be brush burning in a barrel.  Resident was asked to extinguish fire.

February 11

*11:20am-BFD was dispatched to a two vehicle accident with injuries in the 2300 block of Coggin.  Patient transported to BRMC by Guardian

*4:05pm-BFD was called to a fire at Belle Plain & W Commerce.  The incident was determined to be steam from overheated car.  After investigating, all units cleared.

*6:06pm-BFD was called to a hazardous material call in the 1700 block of Rosewood Dr.  The incident was determined to be a carbon monoxide incident.  Firefighters performed detection, monitoring, sampling, & analyzing.

*7:53pm-BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 900 block of W. Austin Avenue.  The accident was a vehicle versus a pedestrian with major injuries.  The patient was transported to BRMC by Guardian.

*9:16pm-BFD was dispatched to a hazardous material call in the 1300 block of 13th Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to investigate smell of gas.  After using gas detector, nothing was found.

February 12

*1:53am-BFD was called to a fire in the 10000 block of CR 367.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find homeowner had extinguished a doghouse that was on fire.  Firefighters used thermal camera to check for extensions with nothing detected.

*12:10pm-BFD responded to a fire call in the 6700 block of N Hwy 279.

*2:32pm-BFD was dispatched to a grass fire at 2801 Southside.  On arrival, a small grassfire was found in a wooded area near a creek.   The Fire Marshal is investigating cause of fire.

* 4:35pm-BFD responded to a 2 vehicle accident with no injuries in the 2900 block of Austin Avenue.

*5:28pm-BFD was dispatched to a grass fire in the 7600 block of S Hwy 377.  Firefighters responded to a grass fire in Brookesmith VFD district with structures threatened.  The fire was controlled and heavy mop-up was needed.

*10:05pm-BFD responded to a grass fire in the 7600 block of S Hwy 377. Firefighters responded to a rekindle from a previous fire.

*10:28pm-BFD was called to a hazardous material call in the 2300 block of 13th Street.  Firefighters arrived to investigate a report of a gas leak.  Nothing was found.
