BFDlogoSmallReports released for the week of November 27-December 3, 2011 from the Brownwood Fire Department indicate responses to 33 medical emergencies, 5 motor vehicle accidents, 1 fire call, 2 hazardous material calls, and 1 electrical problem.

November 28

*1:31pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 200 block of E. Commerce.  Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

*5:46pm – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call at Asbury & Hunters Run.  The incident was determined to be a hazmat investigation with nothing found.

November 29

* 12:20pm – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident in the 2500 block of Austin Avenue.  Fire crews checked for injuries and provided first aid.

*1:40pm – BFD was called to the 1000 block of W Commerce regarding a power line which was down.  According to the report, the incident occurred when a delivery truck ran under low hanging wires.

December 2

*8:23am –BFD responded to a two vehicle accident at Baker & Main Streets.  Fire crews checked for injuries.

* 11:01am – BFD was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Austin Avenue.  Firefighters performed hazardous materials spill control and confinement.

*2:16pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident at Hwy 377 & Crockett.  Fire crews provided general cleanup.

December 3

*9:20am – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous material call at 1500 Magnolia to investigate the smell of gas.  After an investigation, nothing was found.

*10:34pm – BFD responded to a fire call in the 4500 block of County Road 151.  Firefighters arrived to find a single story structure with no smoke showing.  Fire Crews checked the attic and found light smoke.  Siding was removed to extinguish fire.
