Sunday, January 13

*5:27 PM – BFD was called to the 4400 block of Brookdale regarding a fire in the backyard of a residence.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find the fire out.

Monday, January 14

*1:01 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1600 block of 9th Street.  Firefighters investigated smoke in the area.  The cause was discovered to be wood burning in an approved container.

*3:08 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 700 block of Austin Avenue. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Tuesday, January 15

*3:02 PM – BFD was dispatched to a three vehicle accident with no injuries in a parking lot in the 2700 block of Austin.

Wednesday, January 16

*5:36 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2100 block of 7th Street.  The incident was determined to be a resident burning leaves in a BBQ pit.  The occupant was advised of city burning codes and extinguished fire.

Thursday, January 17

*3:30 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire in the 900 block of Wood Street.  Firefighters responded to the report of fire in the attic of the residence.  Upon firefighters’ arrival, light smoke was showing.  The fire was extinguished.

*7:31 PM – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive. Firefighters investigated the smell of gas in the area of the community room at the Brownwood Apartments.  Upon arrival, a faint smell of lighter fluid was detected.

*10:43 PM – BFD was dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Davis Lane.

Saturday, January 19

*1:54 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 600 block of Norwood.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find resident burning trash.  The resident was advised of city burn codes and extinguished fire.

* 2:08 PM – BFD was called to a hazardous materials call in the 2800 block of 14th Street. Firefighters responded to the call of a gas leak inside a structure.  Firefighters entered the structure with a gas monitor.  Leak was found at the meter which was turned off and Atmos was notified.

*11:30 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1700 block of Stewart responded to call of smoke in the area. Firefighters arrived on scene and found smoke coming from a BBQ pit.
