Monday, November 25th

*9:58 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2800 block of N. Hwy 279.  Firefighters responded to a vehicle which was fully involved.  The fire was extinguished.

*10:10 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive.  Fire crews arrived to find that tree limbs were touching arcing power lines.

*3:46 PM – BFD was responded to a hazardous materials call in the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding the smell of gas.  Upon arrival, a slight smell was detected but no source was found.  Atmos was dispatched to check the area.

*5:33 PM – BFD was called to a fire on N. Hwy 279.  Firefighters assist Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department with a structure fire. Firefighters found extension in the attic and extinguished the fire.  The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate.

*9:27 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of Main Street.  Firefighters responded to a cooking fire.  Upon arrival, firefighters found that the fire had been put out by the occupant.  A PPV fan was used to remove smoke from the house.

Tuesday, November 26th

*5:15 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bangs Hill involving 4 vehicles.  Upon arrival, firefighters arrived to find the roadway was blocked.  All occupants were out of the vehicles and there were no injuries.

*7:27 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 300 block of W. Commerce.  The incident was determined to be an outside dumpster/trash fire.

Thursday, November 28th

*7:08 AM – BFD was called to a motor vehicle accident involving a single car striking a building in the 1600 block of Calvert.  Firefighters checked for injuries and assisted with loading the patient for transport.

*8:04 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the area of 10th Street to investigate smoke in the area.  A burn barrel was found.  Residents were notified of city ordinance and extinguished the fire.

Friday, November 29th

*8:27 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 4400 block of Delwood.  The incident was determined to be a natural gas leak and Atmos was notified.

*1:53 PM – BFD responded to a fire call in the 5800 block of County Road 153.  Firefighters responded to the report of a grass fire.  Firefighters arrived on scene with Bangs VFD and assisted with the extinguishment of hotspots.

*3:40 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1500 block of 7th Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a bad light ballast in the bathroom had tripped a breaker. The resident was advised to contact an electrician.

Saturday, November 30th

*5:51 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1000 block of FM 2525 involving multiple vehicles with entrapment.  Firefighters assessed patients and damage, then performed extrication of one patient who was loaded for transport. The occupant of another vehicle was also extricated and packaged for transport.
