December 2
*9:11 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2200 block of 11th Street. Upon fire fighters’ arrival, the fire was out but heavy smoke remained inside the residence. Firefighters ventilated the home.
*10:57 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of Commerce Street. Fire crews arrived on scene and found a dishwasher motor had locked up, causing flashes inside the motor. The power was shut off to the dishwasher.
December 4
*11:56 AM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with minor injuries at Fay Street and Riverside Drive involving a truck versus a trail bike.
*1:48 PM – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the 400 block of E. Commerce.
*4:46 PM – BFD was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident in the 1600 block of Austin Avenue. Firefighters assisted with loading of an occupant of one of the vehicles into a Guardian EMS ambulance for transport to the hospital.December 5
*1:21 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 600 block of W. Commerce. Fire crews arrived on scene to find that a fire in the deep fryer had been extinguished by an employee. Firefighters ensured that the fire was out.
*2:31 AM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 1300 block of Avenue C. Firefighters arrived to investigate the report of possible carbon monoxide. It was determined that the regulator in the heater had burned up.
*1:07 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 100 block of Greenleaf Street regarding a vehicle fire which was extinguished upon firefighters’ arrival.
December 7
*11:15 AM – BFD was dispatched for an ice rescue in the 900 block of Deer Trail. Fire crews responded to a vehicle stranded which was sliding backward on a hill. Firefighters assisted the driver with backing down the hill.
*10:59 PM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 1500 block of Dublin Street. The incident was determined to be a gas leak. Atmos was notified and arrived on scene.
December 8
*5:51 AM – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the 3700 block of US 377.
