Tuesday, November 1

*11:52amBFD was called to an electrical problem in the 700 block of Home Street.  Fire crews investigated power line arcing and nothing was found.

*2:32pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1900 block of 10th Street. A single vehicle had struck a tree. The patient was extricated from vehicle and loaded into the Air Evac Life Team helicopter and transported to the hospital.

Wednesday, November 2

*6:18pm – BFD was dispatched to a grass fire on River Oaks Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a grass fire.  Fire extinguishment was performed.

*6:40pm – BFD was called to utility problems in the 3600 block of 1st Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find service lines arcing in tree branches. The homeowner was advised that no hazard existed at the present time and that Oncor was en route.

*7:41pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of Davis Lane.  The incident was determined to be an outside playground fire. The fire was out upon arrival and firefighters extinguished the remaining embers.

Thursday, November 3

*4:03pm – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident with severe injury on US 183. Firefighters responded to this mutual aid call.

Friday, November 4

*6:14am – BFD was dispatched to a fire call at 2410 Songbird Circle. The incident was determined to be an alarm system activation with no fire.

*9:55am – BFD was called to a fire in the 1200 block of Bailey Street.  The incident was determined to be an electrical/wiring problem.  Firefighters arrived to find smoke and the smell of electrical burning.  After investigation the refrigerator compressor was for to be shorting and was unplugged.

*2:55pm – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident in the 2200 block of Avenue C which involving a single vehicle striking a tree. One occupant was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

*8:26pm – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident with serious injuries in the 2300 block of Magnolia involving a vehicle striking a tree. The occupant was extricated from the vehicle and transported by helicopter to the hospital.

*11:38am – BFD was called to a power line which was down  on County Road 225/W FM 45.  Fire crews arrived to find a utility pole had been pulled down by a vehicle.  Oncor and Verizon were notified.

*8:11pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Center Street which involved a vehicle striking a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was loaded into Air Evac helicopter and transported to hospital.
