Sunday, October 16

*1:06pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call at Avenue B & Tannehill Street to investigate small fire in a drainage tunnel.  The fire marshal was notified to investigate the cause of the fire.

*5:41pm – BFD was called to a dumpster fire in the 1800 block of Durham Avenue.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a smoldering fire in the dumpster.

*7:11pm – BFD received an animal complaint in the 4400 block of Mimosa Street. A man entered the Fire Department and reported that he had a snake in his home.  Firefighters responded to the home, found a small rattle snake and notified animal control.

 

*9:50pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Main Street.  Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Monday, October 17

*8:04am – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Early Blvd and US Hwy183 involving an over turned semi-truck and trailer.

*11:16pm – BFD was called to an electrical problem in the 1500 block of Market Place Blvd. Firefighters arrived on scene to find power lines arcing in a tree.  No immediate danger, fire crews notified Oncor.

Tuesday, October 18

*12:38am – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a single vehicle that struck a guard rail in the 1500 block of Main Street. BFD provided manpower at the scene.

*3:25pm – BFD was called to a  vehicular fire in the 4600 block of S 377.  The fire was out upon firefighters’ arrival but was still smoking.  Red line was pulled and cooled remnants of fire.

Wednesday, October 19

*11:58am – BFD was dispatched to a fire call at 1511 Indian Creek Drive. The incident was determined to be an electrical problem in the attic causing smoke.  Power was turned off to the building and an electrician was notified.

Friday, October 21

*2:47pm – BFD was called to a fire in the 1400  block of CR 156. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a mobile home completely engulfed in flames.  Bangs VFD was on scene upon BFD’s arrival. The fire was extinguished and overhaul was started.  The fire marshal was notified.

*3:13pm – BFD responded to a vehicle fire in the 3100 block of  W US Hwy 67.  The fire marshal was on scene and extinguished the fire.  Firefighters used the booster line to cool the smoldering in the engine compartment.

*7:51pm – BFD was called to a fire at the 2600 block of Hillsboro.  The incident was determined to be an outside trash fire with wood burning in a barrel.  The homeowner was notified that barrel was not an approved container for a fire.

Saturday, October 22

*12:33pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 4500 block of Danhill Dr.   The incident was determined to be a false alarm.

*9:35pm – BFD responded to a two vehicle accident at Austin Avenue & Avenue C. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
