Monday, October 14
*1:45 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident at E. Commerce. Firefighters assisted with loading of the patient for transport to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Tuesday, October 15
*2:05 PM – BFD was dispatched to a three-vehicle accident in the area of Austin Avenue and Fisk Street. Fire crews assisted with loading of patient for transport to BRMC.
*9:23 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 3600 block of Hwy 377. Firefighters responded to a fire alarm and upon arrival found nothing showing. The incident was reported to be related to a leak in the roof running into the conduit of the alarm system. The key holder was advised to turn the alarm off and have it repaired.
Wednesday, October 16
*2:48 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 3100 block of Austin Avenue.
*9:27 PM – BFD was called to a hazardous materials call in the 1100 block of Crothers. Firefighters responded to a strong odor and fumes in the residence. The exterior of home was searched and a gas monitor was used in the interior of the residence with nothing found.*9:56 PM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 800 block of Main Street. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a semi truck leaking diesel from damaged fuel line. Texas Department of Transportation was notified. Firefighters assisted with traffic control.
*11:46 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 3600 block of Hwy 377. Firefighters responded to an alarm activation and arrived on scene to find nothing showing. The alarm activation was due to the alarm company resetting the alarm.
Thursday, October 17
*8:12 PM – BFD was dispatched to a utility problem in the 800 block of Hendricks. Firefighters responded to arcing/sparking power lines. Oncor was contacted.
Friday, October 18
*2:47 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2500 block of Avenue D. Firefighters arrived on scene with nothing showing. Upon entry, the smell of a burning motor was noticed and firefighters determined that it was the motor on the freezer and there was no fire. The freezer was unplugged.
Saturday, October 19
*3:56 PM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the area of Technology Drive and Virgil Gray. Firefighters were dispatched for a diesel spill and used absorbent on the spill.
