Tuesday, October 16
*1:42pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1900 block of Austin Avenue where a single vehicle struck a fence. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
*9:57pm – BFD was called to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road where firefighters investigated a smoke alarm sounding. Firefighters changed the batteries.
*10:20pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the area of Avenue D and Vincent. Firefighters responded to a tree which was on fire. The fire was extinguished and the tree was removed to avoid a hazardous condition.
Thursday, October 18
*2:13 – BFD was called to a fire in the 2600 block of Cleburne Avenue. Fire crews were dispatched to investigate a downed power line which was later determined to be a phone line. Firefighters moved the line.
*4:57pm – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 700 block of Coleman Street involving a motorcycle. Patient was loaded with Guardian EMS for transport
*10:46pm – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of W, Commerce regarding a fire alarm that had activated. After the investigation, it was determined that steam from the water heater activated the alarm.
Friday, October 19
*7:09pm – BFD was called to a child locked in a vehicle in the 2200 block of Center Avenue. A 1-year-old child was locked in a vehicle. Firefighters unlocked the vehicle and returned the child to the parent unharmed.
Saturday, October 20
*1:50pm – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 300 block of N. Main Street. One patient was loaded into a Guardian EMS ambulance for transport.
