Beulah “Boots” Bean, 100, of Comanche, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, April 8, 2018, in Comanche. A Funeral service, under the directions of Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche, will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the Heartland Chapel. Interment will follow at the White Point Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Beulah Fay Carlisle was born November 7, 1917, in Mills County Texas, to Tip Walter and Margarete Armstrong (Perkins) Carlisle. She married Sherman Bradly “Totsy” Bean in Comanche on July 1, 1936. They had three children Hilda Jean, Jo Anna, and Owen Bradley. “Boots” was a member of the Pearl Street Church of Christ in Comanche.
“Boots” lived a life of hard work full of love for her family, friends, and the great outdoors. She had a heart full of gold and very seldom did you leave her house empty-handed. In her later years, you usually left with a 6 pack of covered hangers or a block of chocolate fudge. “Boots” & “Totsy” were known for always helping those that were less fortunate.
Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Hilda Butlar and husband Oscar, Joanna and deceased husband Jim, and son Owen Bean and wife Charla; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband of 58 years, Sherman Bradly “Totsy”; parents, Tip and Maggie Carlisle; sisters, Tinnie Carlisle, Viva Carlisle, Mabel Taylor, Lynn McCaslin; brother, Dick Carlisle; dear friend, Valarie Haas; a host of friends and caregivers at Western Hills Nursing Home.
