Betty Sue Blandin, age 76 of Brownwood died Saturday morning, March 17, at the Brownwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Monday at the Cross Cut Cemetery with Bro. Ruben Packer officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Her body will be available for viewing from 1- 8 PM Sunday and Monday morning prior to the service.
She was born October 31, 1935 in Cross Cut, the daughter of the late Percy Leon and Loyda Newton Griffin. She grew up in the Cross Cut community and lived in Brown County most of her life except for several other communities including Longview prior to moving back to Brownwood over 30 years ago. She was an artist and loved designing clothes and also had a favorite hobby of fishing. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She is survived by 4 Daughters:

 Barbara Gail Cassidy of Colt, Arkansas 
 Iris Ann Turner of Granbury 
 Betty Louise (Punkin) Forrester of Brownwood 
 2 Sons:
 Ben W. Lawson, Jr. of Brownwood 
 William Leroy “Willie” Lawson of Brownwood 
 A sister – Bobbie Jo Tongate of Brownwood 
 13 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren 
 An Uncle – Charles Kiser of Brownwood 
She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, a sister, Johnnie Irene, and 2 Grandchildren.
