Betty K. Wright, 79, of Brownwood went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 4, 2013.
Betty was born on August 22, 1934, in Coleman, Texas, to Dorothy and M.T. “Red” Kelly. Betty married Russell Wright on November 20, 1959, at the Early Baptist Church. Russell and Betty spent the next 54 years living in Brown County.
Betty was a member of Early Baptist Church for many years until her death. Betty worked for GTE and Verizon for thirty-two years until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty is survived by her husband, Russell, of Brownwood; a daughter, Teresa Rives and her husband Thomas of New Braunfels; one brother Tom Kelly and his wife Frances; two grand-daughters, Tiffany Holder and her husband Daniel of New Braunfels, Renee Bading and her husband Justin of New Braunfels; three great-grandchildren, Billy Layne and Thomas Wyatt Holder, and Joplin Ann Bading.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 10:30 AM at Cross Cut Cemetery with a visitation on Friday from 6pm-8pm at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.Condolences may be sent online at www.davismorrisfuneralhome.com, Funeral arrangements were made by Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Avenue, Brownwood.
