Betty Jo Teague, age 77, of Brownwood, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014, in Brownwood. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, November 19, 2014, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Brian Hall will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2014, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Betty Jo Clark Teague was born on September 3, 1937, in Rising Star, TX, to parents, Oval Lamar Clark and Lillian Clark Parnell. She graduated from Brownwood High School in 1956. Betty met Charlie Alton Teague and the two were married on September 18, 1959, in Cross Plains, TX. She was a hard working woman; Betty worked at both Texas Feather and Brownwood Manufacturing for a number of years. In 1977, Betty went to work for Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was a housekeeping supervisor at the time of her retirement after 37 years of service. Betty had several hobbies; Betty enjoyed sewing and was a very talented seamstress. She also liked word puzzles and she was a great cook; over the years, Betty collected many cookbooks and recipes. She was a genuinely sweet person and would do anything to help someone in need. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Oval Lamar Clark and Lillian Clark Parnell.Betty is survived by her son Wayne Teague and wife Sheri, of Brownwood,TX; their children, Courtney Brook, Brent, Kyle, and Tyler Teague; and Wayne’s three grandchildren; her daughter, Shelia Jo Teague and husband Garry, of Rice, TX; their children, Shanna Cadena, Robby Valdez and wife Wendy, Jennifer Fisher and husband Jason, and Chad Valdez; and Shelia’s 8 grandchildren; her daughter, Stacy Vaughn and husband Billy, of Brownwood, and their son, Chance Beck; her brother, Nathan Clark, of Lake Whitney, TX; her sister, Earlene Lawson of Clyde, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
