BettyBlantonMemorial services for Betty Jo Blanton, 51, of Brownwood, formerly of Little Rock Arkansas, will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 17, in the Victory Life Chapel with Brother Reese Shafer officiating. She was cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations.

Mrs. Blanton passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011, with loved ones by her side.

Betty Jo Huffstetler was born on September 6, 1960, in Lake Village Arkansas to Bonner Huffstetler and Louise Yelvington Huffstetler. She married Sidney Charles Blanton on May 7, 2005, in Little Rock Arkansas.

 

Betty loved children and working with arts and crafts. She also enjoyed baking pastries and desserts for her friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Eudora Baptist Church and Victory Life Church and had lived in Brownwood since 2007, moving here from Little Rock.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Charlie Blanton of Brownwood; her mother, Louise Huffstetler of Oak Grove Louisiana; two brothers, Clifton Huffstetler of Sedona Arizona and Greg Huffstetler of Bartlett Tennessee; two sisters, Kathy McDaniel of Oak Grove Louisiana and Judith Kellebrew of Greenville Mississippi. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Beverly and John Beatly of Lake Brownwood; brother-in-law Paul Sturdivant and wife Jerra, of Snyder; and her beloved “baby boy”, Elmo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bonner Huffstetler and brothers, Danny Huffstetler and Robert Huffstetler.
