Funeral services for Betty Jane “Janie” Cagle Egger will be Thursday April 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with Rev. J.A. Mc Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Winchell Cemetery Winchell, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Jane was born August 21, 1937 in Abilene, Texas to Jacob and Edna McBee Cagle.
She went to sleep in the arms of Jesus, after a sixteen year battle with cancer, Sunday April 10, 2011 at the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.
She was a longtime member of the Faith Baptist Church in Brownwood, Texas. Jane retired from the Brownwood Independent School District with over twenty years of service.
She is survived by her sons Tibby and wife Becky Egger of Brownwood, Texas, Travis and wife Melissa Egger of Brownwood, Texas and James Terry and wife Susan Egger of Pawcatuck, Connecticut, her daughter Savanah and husband Rick Geer of Groton, Connecticut. Jane is also survived by her grandchildren; Batista, Danny, Christopher, Latisha, Jason, Austin, Jessica, Jordan, Trevor and numerous great-grandchildren. Her sisters Sarah Brooks, Mary Berry, and Edena Martin. She is survived by her former husband Johnny Egger of Abilene, Texas.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, a twin brother Gene Cagle, other brothers
Raymond Cagle, Wayne Cagle, Willie Cagle and her sister Pauline Whitley.
