Bettie Marie Johnson, 77, of Brownwood, TX, was born August 14, 1938 in Watts, Oklahoma, to Oscar and Violet Johnson. She passed in her home under the care of Gentiva Hospice.
Bettie is leaving behind her husband, John Johnson, of 57 years of Brownwood, TX, her daughter Phyllis and Michael Salge of Hockley, TX, daughter Peggy and George Pike of Keller, TX, her son Mickey and Patty Johnson of Kernersville, NC and son Michael Johnson of Stephenville, TX, her brothers Galen and Bernice Johnson, of Leach, OK, Oscar Jr. and Charlotte Johnson of Minneapolis, KS, George and Jacquie Johnson of Minneapolis, KS Kermit and Nina Johnson of Kansas, OK, also two sisters Dora and Charles Menees of Muskogee, Ok, Mildred and Duaine Passmore of Leach, OK. Also left behind are 3 grand-daughters, 1 grandson, four great grand-daughters and four great grandsons, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Violet Johnson, her brothers John Johnson, Walter Johnson, Chester Johnson and one sister Gracie Johnson.Bettie was an Army wife for 20 years and lived and traveled to many different places during that time. She loved to sew, travel and work outside in the yard. She loved her family and doing things for her friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, 22 Jan 2016 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, 23 Jan 2016 at Davis-Morrie Funeral Home with burial following at the Eastlawn Cemetery in Early, TX.
