Bessie was a fantastic fisherman, making use of her cane pole and grasshoppers to catch anything she wanted. Not only could she catch them, but also was great at cooking the fish as well. Bessie was also a very skilled seamstress, sewing both of her daughters’ wedding dresses. She and Billy Joe loved to travel and take their Sunday afternoon drives. However, the most important thing to Bessie was her family. She was always involved in her children’s activities and loved big family gatherings. Bessie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
