Graveside services for Bertha Elizabeth “Betty” Russell were held Thursday March 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Greenleaf Cemetery Brownwood, Texas with Rev. Ruben Packer officiating. Mrs. Russell passed away Monday at a local nursing home.
She was born November 10, 1935 in Springfield, Missouri to James H. and Elsie I. Cheary Morelock. Betty was married to Stanley Russell February 24, 1953 in Brownwood, Texas. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by her husband Stanley Russell of Brownwood, Texas a daughter Mary K. and husband Richard Allen of Early, Texas and a son Stanley H. Russell and long time companion Sue Trowbridge of Brownwood, Texas.
She is also survived by two sisters Wanda and husband Gene Henson of Brownwood, Texas and Kay and husband Ted Arrick of Florence, Texas, ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one son Michael E. Russell.
