CrossFit of Brownwood will host a benefit workout for Brandon Moore at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9th. All proceeds will help Brandon with medical expenses.
The benefit will consist of the workout, named in Brandon’s honor, and activities for the whole family including a rock climbing wall, bounce house for the kids, and a BBQ plate lunch. Participants of the benefit do not have to be CrossFit members and are welcome to just come hang out and participate in any/all of the activities or just come by for lunch.
The workout will consist of physical challenges such as the rock wall, slosh pipe, pull-ups and rowing. Organizers ask that workout participants make a donation of $20.
According to organizers, Brandon has been a part of the CrossFit Brownwood Family for nearly two years. He was recently involved in an accident which left him badly burned from the knees down and was care flown to Lubbock for treatment. Brandon spent 16 days in the burn unit ICU and is facing an 18 month recovery.Brandon works at Hook & Anchor Marina and his wife Chalet works for Heartland Co-Op.
