The Oilpatch Drifters Riding Club will host a BBQ Benefit for Zack Clements at Firestone in Brownwood from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13th.
BBQ plates will be $6 each or 2 for $10 and will include pull pork sandwich, bag of chips and a drink (coke or water). Call 325-642-9870 or 325-998-8295 for delivery.
Zack is a 17-year-old student at Victory Life Academy in Brownwood who collapsed in gym class with a cardiac arrest. He passed out on the football field and was clinically dead for 20 minutes, according to medical personnel. He was transported to Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth where he remained unconscious for three days.
All proceeds will benefit Clements and will help pay for surgical implant of an internal defibrillator.
