Barbara Warren Smith, age 67, departed this life May 8, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday May 12, 2012 at Jordan Springs Cemetery with Deacon John Specht officiating. Barbara was born May 30, 1944 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Francis B. Warren and Agnes Pizzo Warren. Although she was not a native Texan, she got here as fast as she could! She loved Texas and everything Texan. Barbara married her Texan, John Roy Smith Jr. on May 17, 1997. Barbara volunteered countless hours as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and as a caregiver to the cats at the Corrine T. Smith Animal Center. She was a devout Catholic and a staunch Republican.
Barbara is survived by a brother, Francis Warren of Broomfield, Massachusetts; a niece, Teresa Frazier of Somers, Connecticut; a nephew, John Frazier of Enfield, Connecticut; three step-children, Nesa Morelock and husband, Scott of Brownwood, John Birch Smith and wife, Velma of New Braunfels, and John Layne Smith and wife, Liz of Frisco. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
May Barbara rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon her, Amen. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Center.
