Barbara Jane Rogers Moore, of Coleman, Texas, entered into the kingdom of heaven on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Texas Health Huguley in Ft Worth at the age of 92 years.
Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at Stacy Cemetery with Rev Dick Schultz officiating. Interment will follow at Stacy Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.
A visitation for friends and family will be Tuesday from 9:00 till 10:30 am at Henderson Funeral Home before service.
She was born December 21, 1926 in Waco, Texas to Marcile R. and Ruth Ailene Collier Rogers. Because of her father’s profession, in the oil field business, the family lived in many towns in Texas and Barbara graduated in 1944 from Pine Tree High School in Longview, Texas. She attended Kilgore Jr. College where she was a member of the prestigious Kilgore Rangerettes. In 1945 she married John Henry Cash in Coleman, Texas and he preceded her in death in 2003. Barbara married Walter Benjamin Moore in Coleman in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 2004.
Barbara graduated from Draughans Business College and was employed with Texas Public Welfare Department as a Case Worker for 18 years. Following her retirement she cared for the elderly in the community. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Coleman, and very active in the TOPS Club of Coleman and while living in Brownwood had attended Milton Ave. Baptist Church.
