Barbara Helen Wisecup, age 79. Heaven welcomed an angel when Barbara left this earthly home for her forever home with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 13, 2012. While the loss of her warm, compassionate and encouraging spirit will be missed by all who knew her, there is peace in knowing she is with her Father in Heaven. Services will be held on Wednesday, April, 18th at 10am at Bangs First Baptist Church, burial will follow at Coleman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm, Tuesday April 17th at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Barb was born on September 21 1932 in Coleman, Texas where she grew up and graduated from Coleman High School in 1950. Barb lovingly raised her family of three girls in the small town of Enon, Ohio. Barb was active in the girl’s schools as they were growing up and encouraged them in all their endeavors. She was active in her church. After the girls were in high school Barb went to work. She worked as a Civil Servant at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio and then Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo where she retired. Upon her retirement Barb and her husband Don Wisecup moved to Bangs, Texas.

Barb was active until her recent illness. Her activities included the Lioness Club, NARFE, and Brown County Republican Women. Barb was a member of Bangs First Baptist Church and taught the Esther Class. She was very active in the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Auxiliary having accumulated over 7758 volunteer hours since joining in 2000 and held many offices.

Barbara was preceded in death by both of her parents and a brother, Onie Carroll. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Don Wisecup of Bangs; daughters Alice Salazar, Brenda Hoolapa and Cindy Larson all of Brownwood; brother David Carroll and wife Brenda of Brownwood; step daughter Angie Monahan and husband Mike of Florida; step sons Mike Wisecup of Plano, Pat and Mary Wisecup, Tim and Rita Wisecup, Rick and Marie Wisecup, Dan and Darla Wisecup, Steve Wisecup and Donnie Wisecup all of Ohio. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of loving friends.
