Graveside Funeral services for Barbara Elizabeth Jones, 79, of Brownwood will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, in Bangs Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 10, 2011, at her residence in Brownwood.
Barbara Elizabeth Scroggins was born on June 1, 1931, in Arkansas. She resided in Perris, Calif., for many years until moving to Texas in 2004 to be with family. She was a wonderful mother and a devoted grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Wooldridge and husband James of Bangs; two sons, Louis Jones of Brownwood and Gary Lee Glass of California; and a sister, Ruby Stowe of Tyler. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Johnny Nye and wife Tammie of Bangs, Ronnie Nye and wife Jennifer Ann Nye, and their children, of Michigan, Carey Vogel and husband Billy of Bangs, Joseph Wooldridge and wife Jodi of Brownwood, Vicki Curriel and husband Tony of Ajo, Ariz., Nicki Glass and boyfriend Steven Branum of California, and Gary C. Glass, also of California; great-grandchildren, Travis Hoover, Jennifer Marie Nye, Kyle Vogel, William Victor Glass II, Antonio Curriel, Alexander Curriel, Jordan, Neely, Blake, Dylan, Ryan, Josh; and special fifth generation namesake, Kiersten Elizabeth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Scroggins and Georgia Price Scroggins; her son, William Victor Glass; two brothers; and one sister.
