Bangs Chief of Police Jorge Camarillo announced Gregory Parrott has joined the Bangs Police Department as a Patrol Officer.

Parrott brings 28 years of law enforcement experience to Bangs and Brown County. His prior experience includes criminal investigations, SWAT Team Commander, Tactical Officer, Medical Examiner’s Investigator, firearms instructor, Rangemaster, firearms team competition, traffic and patrol, drug interdiction, Police Academy Instructor, and CPR/First Aid instructor.  Gregory Parrott took his “oath of office” Wednesday, November 2nd, in the Bangs City Council chambers, administered by Bangs City Secretary Nan Billings. Chief Camarillo said, “Greg brings a lot to the table, including dedication to the profession, and wisdom that comes from years of real life experiences. With the addition of Officer Parrot, the Bangs Police Department has three certified Master Peace officers averaging over 20 years experience each. ” Greg Parrott has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Southwest Texas State University.
