Bangs Lady Dragon Powerlifting placed 1st out of seven teams at the Stephenville meet.
Several of the team’s members placed in the top six of their class.
In the 114 lb Class, Kylie Allen earned 1st place with a total of 555 lbs and Sydney Hinze placed 6th with a total of 450 lbs.
Lakyn Dent took 1st place in the 123 lb Class with a total of 500 lbs.
In the 165 lb Class, Amber Jones secured 1st with a total of 760 lbs. Jones also set a new meet record for the Bench press in this weight class by beating the old record of 140 lbs, lifting a new meet best of 150 lbs. Other Bangs powerlifters placing in the 165 Class were Mercedes Hinze – 4th with a total of 615 lbs and Emily Brown – 5th with a total of 610 lbs.
The 181 lb Class saw two Lady Dragons placing in the top two. Ebony Patrick secured 1st place with a total of 685 lbs and Courtney Owen took 2nd with a total of 635 lbs.
