The Texas Association of Secondary School principals recently named Tony Truelove the Region 15 middle school principal of the year.
Truelove has been the Bangs Middle School principal for 4 years. Prior to this, he coached and taught for 25 years. He was also an athletic director for ten years. Truelove has worked in a variety of schools from class A to 4A schools.
Truelove is married Bobbie Truelove who teaches at Bangs High School. They have been married for 29 years and have three children. Truelove earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Angelo State University and Master of Education from Lubbock Christian University.
Regarding the award, Truelove stated, “I am humbled by this award, but I realize that any honors I receive are a reflection of the hard work of our students and the dedication of our great staff.”
