After the Texas Education Agency gave Bangs ISD a rating of “academically acceptable,” district officials took a closer look.
They examined the district’s scores, and found the only area that kept them from having a higher rating was graduation rates. Then, they noticed a mistake.
They found one student wasn’t counted as a graduate.
The district filed an appeal, and the TEA granted the high school and district a new ranking of “recognized.”
