Brownwood News – At a special meeting held Friday, March 27, by the Bangs Independent School District Board of Trustees, Dr. Joshua Martin was officially hired as the next Superintendent of Bangs ISD. Dr. Martin is replacing retiring Superintendent Tony Truelove.
Bangs ISD will host a ‘Meet and Greet’ at a later date in order to give the community an opportunity to welcome Dr. Martin and his family to Bangs.
Martin will start his role as BISD superintendent on April 16. With COVID-19 at the forefront of most conversations today, Bangs ISD is consulting with local and state health departments to ensure appropriate safety guidelines are followed during Martin’s move from Collin County, Texas.
“It’s a great day to be a Dragon,” Martin said. “I cannot express how excited and grateful I am for this opportunity, and how much I am looking forward to working with the students, families, and staff of Bangs ISD.”
