The Bangs Dragons baseball team was denied their chance to advance to the state 2A tournament with a loss in game 2 to the Bushland Falcons with a score of 5-4. The game was tied near the end taking it to 10 innings, and ending on a controversial play that ultimately turned a home run for the Falcons into an RBI single, but giving Bushland the win.
Dragons fell in two straight games to Bushland in the Class 2A Regional Finals at Dan Law Field in Lubbock on Thursday and Friday.
Bangs had 4 runs on 10 hits with no errors in game two. Bushland had 5 runs on 13 hits with no errors.
Bangs finishes the season with a 27-7 record.
The Falcons advance to the state tournament for the second year in a row and currently hold a 28-7 record for the season.
