americanlegionlogoThe American Legion Lynn Snow Post 308 in Bangs, at a recent meeting, awarded a scholarship to Bangs High School 2010 Graduate Jorden Mason.  He has been accepted by Dallas Baptist University as a student.

Jordan has been active in various extracurricular activities in including Spanish Club, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Senior Student Council.  He has maintained grades which placed him on the A-B Honor Roll for most of his school career.

Jorden has been active in sports throughout his school days. He participated in basketball and track each year until his senior year.  He played football and baseball, and in his junior year he started on the varsity team in both sports.  As a junior, he was awarded second team all district on defense and during this senior year he was first team all district defense, first team all district offense and All Big Country defensive player.

Outside of school, Jorden has been active in his church.  He has been on mission trips the past three years.  He participates in vacation bible school and attended church camp every year for the past five years.
